Majestic Creek Country Club is a 27-hole layout set in the foothills 20 kilometres west of Hua Hin, nestled against the mountain range that marks the Thai-Myanmar border. Designed by Dr. Sukitti Klangvisai — who also designed Loch Palm Golf Club in Phuket — and opened in 1993, the course makes exceptional use of the natural creek system that threads through the property. The complex is divided into three distinct nine-hole layouts: Creek, Lake, and Waterfall, each presenting its own strategic challenges while sharing the same mountain-and-jungle backdrop. A notable feature is the par-5 16th on the Creek nine, which at 772 yards claims the title of Thailand's longest par-5. At approximately 1,350 THB for an 18-hole green fee (caddie compulsory at 350 THB), Majestic Creek is among the most affordable of Hua Hin's established courses, and offers Stay-and-Play packages that combine accommodation, pool access, and breakfast.

Layout & playing experience

Dr. Sukitti Klangvisai worked with the natural topography of the foothills to produce a course that feels more organic and varied than many Thai designs of the same era. Water features in the form of creeks, ponds, and the namesake cascading sections are the defining strategic element, with numerous holes requiring accurate placement to avoid penalty areas. The Creek nine plays through the namesake watercourse and is the most natural feeling of the three loops, with tight approaches through tree-lined corridors. The Lake nine opens up more and introduces larger bodies of water, demanding confident carries on several approach shots. The Waterfall nine includes some of the most elevated and scenic terrain, with natural waterfall features incorporated as visual landmarks near several greens. The course totals 7,123 yards from the tips across the 27 holes. A grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping practice area allow thorough preparation before the round. The renovated clubhouse and pro shop maintain a good standard of facilities.

Tips & what to know before you go

Majestic Creek's inland location 20 kilometres from Hua Hin means it is more sheltered from coastal humidity but can experience mist and cooler conditions in the early morning during the cool season (November to February). Tee times from 8:00 onwards are the sweet spot for temperature and visibility. The course's 27 holes give flexibility in combining any two nines — ask the starter about current nine-hole conditions and recommended combinations based on recent maintenance schedules. The par-5 at 772 yards is genuinely long and demands course management; those playing from forward tees will not experience it at full length, so check which nine layout your tee time is assigned to. Accommodation at the Majestic Creek Resort is a convenient option for golfers who want to avoid the daily transfer from Hua Hin town.

Location & getting there

Majestic Creek Country Club is located at 11/66 Moobann Borfaai, approximately 20 kilometres west of Hua Hin, and is approximately 230 kilometres from central Bangkok. The drive from Bangkok via Highway 4 takes around 3 hours, then a further 40-minute drive inland from Hua Hin town. From Hua Hin, taxi or Grab services cover the journey in approximately 40 minutes. The course's mountain setting and distance from the coast mean it is typically combined with other inland courses such as Black Mountain on multi-day golf itineraries.
