Bangpra International Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in the Eastern Seaboard, founded in 1958 as a collaborative venture between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Japan Golf Promotion Co. Ltd. The course was substantially rebuilt in the late 1980s, and more recently redesigned by JMP Golf Design Group to its current championship configuration of 18 holes, par 72, stretching to 7,393 yards from the black tees. Set in a gently sloping forested valley between Si Racha and Pattaya in Chonburi Province, Bangpra combines mature parkland character — tall hardwood trees, bougainvillea, and tropical flora — with the technical demands of a long-measure layout. The course offers on-site accommodation, a Japanese restaurant, driving range, and spa facilities. It draws a consistent clientele of Japanese visitors (reflecting the course's long historical ties with Japanese golf), Pattaya expats, and Bangkok-based golfers making the 90-minute drive along the Eastern Seaboard freeway.

Layout & playing experience
The 18-hole layout plays through a wooded valley with natural elevation changes that create a varied and visually pleasing round. The parkland terrain is defined by mature trees lining the fairways — the course's age means the tree coverage is genuinely old-growth in character, not planted scenery. The front nine is regarded as the stronger half, featuring more pronounced elevation changes and scenic views over the valley. The back nine introduces elevated, circular-shaped greens that reward accurate approach play and punish those who miss on the wrong side. Signature holes include the par-3 second across water, the long par-4 third, and the par-3 twelfth — a 154-yard carry over a water hazard. All par-3s play from over 180 yards from the blue tees. The course plays 7,393 yards at full stretch and 6,964 yards from the blue tees. Cart path only rules apply throughout.
Tips & what to know before you go
Bangpra's green fee of 1,700 THB weekday and 2,500 THB weekend is a green fee only — caddie (350 THB, compulsory) and cart (600 THB, optional) are charged separately at the pro shop. Budget accordingly for the true all-in cost of approximately 2,050–2,650 THB on a weekday. The course is 40 minutes north of central Pattaya and about 90 minutes from Bangkok — early starts are recommended to avoid midday heat and to complete the round before afternoon traffic builds on the Eastern Seaboard motorway. The course is closed on Mondays. On-site accommodation makes Bangpra a viable overnight stop for golfers combining it with other Eastern Seaboard courses.
