Flora Ville Golf & Country Club is one of Bangkok's best-value designer courses — an 18-hole Nick Faldo design that opened in 1998 under the name Chuan Cheun in Pathum Thani, north of the city. Faldo's signature appears on only a handful of courses in Thailand, making Flora Ville something of a rarity, and one of Bangkok's cheaper options to boot. A visitor review once put the combined green fee and caddie at around 1,650 THB — remarkably accessible for a course of this design pedigree. The clubhouse underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2018, adding luxurious locker rooms and a modernised pro shop. It sits inside a large housing estate, which constrains the setting somewhat, but the mature trees, open marsh areas, and rich wildlife give the course more natural character than its residential context might suggest.

At 6,747 yards from the tips, par 72, Flora Ville is a proper test from the back tees. The fairways alternate between tree-lined corridors and more open stretches bordered by water, with a meaningful number of doglegs that demand accuracy off the tee rather than raw length. The biggest challenge is the greens: compact and hard-surfaced with quick speeds, they require precise approach play to set up makeable putts. An unusual configuration places a par-3 on the 17th and a par-5 on the 18th — the final hole is a genuine three-shotter demanding a precise drive to a narrow landing area on the right. Lakes and bunkers are present throughout but are well-positioned rather than punitive. The course suits mid-to-low handicappers who enjoy accuracy-based challenges.

Weekday green fees start from around 1,200 THB (green fee only), with caddie (400 THB) and cart (700 THB) on top — still among the best value-for-design ratios in the Bangkok area. Weekend rates are not always published; contact the course or a booking platform for current pricing. Book at least a day in advance. The renovated clubhouse is excellent for post-round meals. Non-playing followers pay a 300 THB weekend surcharge. Handicap certificate is not required.

Flora Ville is located at 110 Moo 8 Bangkok–Pathum Thani Road, Bang Ku Wat, Mueang Pathum Thani 12000, in Pathum Thani province. It is approximately 38 km from central Bangkok — accessible by car via the expressway heading north toward Pathum Thani, approximately 45 minutes in light traffic. There is no direct public transport to the course; Grab or taxi from the city is the standard option. Don Mueang Airport is about 20 minutes away, making this a convenient stop for golfers transiting through DMK.
