Grand Prix Golf Club opened in 2011 as one of the more distinctively themed layouts in Thailand. Designed by Prayard Chinnaraj and Prachin Eamlumnow, the course is built around a motorsport concept: each of the 18 holes carries the name of an automobile brand, and the golf carts are sports-rim buggies styled to match the theme. The course is located in Bo Phloi District, approximately 160 kilometres from Bangkok — about two hours by road. At 7,136 yards from the back tees over a par-72 layout, it offers a full-length challenge. Green fees are 1,600 THB on weekdays and 2,100 THB on weekends, with both caddie (400 THB) and cart (600 THB) compulsory. The club also operates a 50-room hotel on-site and offers night golf, making it a practical base for golfers who want a full overnight stay rather than a day trip.

Layout & playing experience

The 7,136-yard layout plays across relatively open terrain in Bo Phloi, without the dense jungle character of courses deeper in the Kanchanaburi valley. The compulsory sports-rim buggy adds a degree of pace and novelty to the round, and the per-hole branding creates a clear sense of identity at each tee. Because both caddie and cart are required, the all-in cost for a solo round is 2,600 THB on a weekday and 3,100 THB on a weekend before any extras. A driving range is available. The course is suited to golfers who want a well-equipped, facility-rich experience rather than a remote or wilderness round. Night golf availability extends the usable hours for visitors staying at the on-site hotel.

Tips & what to know before you go

Budget for the full compulsory cost — green fee plus caddie (400 THB) plus cart (600 THB) — when planning your round. Club rental is available at 1,000 THB if you don't want to travel with equipment. The on-site hotel makes it straightforward to combine an overnight stay with an early morning round and night golf in the same visit. Call ahead to confirm night golf availability and hotel room bookings, particularly on long weekends when the course is likely to be busier.

Location & getting there

Grand Prix Golf Club is located at 91 Moo 13, Chongdan, Bo Phloi District, Kanchanaburi Province. Bo Phloi is in the northern part of the province, roughly 160 kilometres from central Bangkok — approximately two hours by road. The district is distinct from the Kwai River valley corridor used by most Kanchanaburi tourists, so the drive bypasses the town of Kanchanaburi itself. Private car or hired vehicle is the standard approach; there is no direct public transport to the club.

No clubs? No problem.

Club rental at Grand Prix Golf Club runs 1,000 THB per round, but golfers based in Bangkok can also arrange rental sets through LENGOLF ahead of their trip, picking up near BTS Chidlom before heading west to Bo Phloi.
