Lakewood Country Club is one of Bangkok's most conveniently located courses — in Samut Prakan province near Suvarnabhumi Airport, just 30 minutes from central Bangkok. Designed by J. Michael Poellot (the same architect behind Rajpruek), the 27-hole facility opened its first three nines in 1992 and comprises three distinct loops: Lake, Wood, and Rock. Combining any two nines delivers an 18-hole round of 7,145 yards at par 72 from the championship tees. The course is praised for extensive landscaping that overcomes flat terrain through earthmoving, strategic bunkering, and water features on nearly every hole. Weekday green fees of approximately 1,900 THB (before caddie and cart) make it good value for a well-maintained layout close to the city. The club maintains a jacuzzi and sauna in the men's locker room — a welcome post-round amenity.

The three nine-hole loops each have a distinct character. The Lake nine features the most prominent water hazards, the Wood nine winds through mature tree-lined fairways, and the Rock nine offers the most variety in bunkering. The most noted individual hole is the seventh on the Wood nine, where water comes prominently into play. Despite the flat Samut Prakan terrain, extensive earthmoving during construction created visual interest and strategic undulation. Greens are described as fast and true in recent reviews, with subtle contouring that rewards an accurate approach. The course has no driving range — practice is limited to a putting green adjacent to the first tee.

Weekday green fees run approximately 1,900–2,300 THB depending on source and season, with caddie (approximately 1,000 THB) and cart (approximately 700 THB) additional. Plan for a 30-minute drive from central Bangkok, but be aware of traffic on the Bangna-Trad highway during peak hours. Book at least one day in advance for weekdays, two days for weekends. Maximum group sizes are 5 on weekdays and 4 on weekends. The jacuzzi and sauna make a good post-round recovery. No driving range means arrive early for putting green warm-up.

Lakewood Country Club is located in Bang Chalong, Bang Phli, Samut Prakan province — near Suvarnabhumi International Airport and on the Bangna-Trad route toward Pattaya. Exact distance from central Bangkok is approximately 25 km, taking about 30 minutes by expressway. The course is easily accessible by Grab or taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport (approximately 15–20 minutes). Public transport options are limited; a car is strongly recommended.
