Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club — originally opened as President Country Club in 1993 — is a 36-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. design in Nong Chok, on Bangkok's eastern fringe near Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Trent Jones Jr. designed three courses in the Bangkok area, and this is the most expansive: four nine-hole championship loops offering multiple combination plays, each designed with a distinct approach to ensure variety across all 36 holes. The setting is genuinely rural — paddy fields, marshland, and native vegetation provide an agricultural backdrop that feels far removed from the city, though it is technically within Bangkok administrative boundaries. Weekday starting fees from approximately 2,000 THB (before caddie and cart) make it a competitive choice for a Trent Jones design.

Layout & playing experience

The four nines (playable in North/East/West/South combinations) extend to 7,059 yards at par 72 from the gold tees, with a slope of 128 and rating of 73 — figures that confirm genuine challenge. Trent Jones Jr.'s Bangkok courses are known for large, fast greens, and Suvarnabhumi follows this pattern. Fairways are wider and the tree coverage sparser than many Bangkok layouts, creating broader vistas across the rural landscape — and honest sight lines that expose wayward drives. Water hazards and dog-legs feature throughout, requiring strategic tee shots on the more demanding holes. The Bermuda rough is challenging. The Hole-In-One coffee shop on-site is a pleasant post-round stop.

Tips & what to know before you go

Green fees start from approximately 2,000 THB weekday; weekend rates are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the club or a booking platform. Caddie fees are compulsory; cart rental is 600 THB. Advance booking is required (minimum one day weekday, two days weekend). The course is about 60 minutes from central Bangkok but only 40 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, making it a practical choice for golfers with late-afternoon flights. The Nong Chok location means the road in can be congested in rush hour — factor in extra time.

Location & getting there

Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club is located at 54 Moo 5 Suwinthawong Road, Lam Toi Ting, Nong Chok, Bangkok 10530. Despite the Bangkok address, the course is in the far eastern reaches of the province, east of Suvarnabhumi Airport. By car, take the Bang Na Expressway east toward Chonburi, then exit north toward Nong Chok via Suwinthawong Road. Drive time from central Bangkok is approximately 60 minutes; from Suvarnabhumi Airport approximately 30–40 minutes. No public transport serves the area directly.

No clubs? No problem.

Suvarnabhumi's airport-adjacent location makes the logistics easy — LENGOLF delivers club rentals to Bangkok hotels city-wide so you can pick up your clubs before flying to BKK and head straight to the course on arrival.
